Matthew 13:18-23

Hear then the parable of the sower. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road.

The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away.

And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. (NASB)

Radical Salvation 3-17-19 Pastor Gray

Pastor Gray preaches about the radical salvation of the apostle Paul on the Damascus Road. Like Paul, we need to have a potent conviction. One where we are so convicted that we can’t rest until we do something about it.

Have you had a Damascus Road experience?

Think About What You Can Do

Hear me! Every church without a prayer meeting condemns us; every Bible daily unopened condemns us; every promise of God unused condemns us; every lost neighbor condemns us; every wasted minute of our time condemns us; every unclaimed opportunity for God condemns us.

Next year is not ours. Tomorrow may be too late. Unless we repent now, unless we return and fire the altars now, unless we fast and weep now, woe unto us at the judgement. ~Leonard Ravenhill

Proverbs 21:23

Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.

Silence is the most massive thing conceivable at times. It is strength in grandeur. The mouth is the gate of the soul. We should watch what we open our mouths and say. The Lord warned us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. I would like to always speak life, health, prosperity, and love with my mouth and soul.

How about you?

Dig into the Word of God

child reading the Bible

There are treasures upon the surface of the Word which we may pick up very readily: even the casual reader will find himself able to understand the simplicities and elements of the gospel of God; but the Word of God yields most to the digger. He that can study hard and press into the inner meaning–he is the man that shall be enriched with riches current in heavenly places. ~Charles Spurgeon

Joy in the Morning – A Word from the Lord

Psalm 30:5

Nighttime comes—but oh, My promise for the morning! Even when it appears so dark that you can’t envision any light, it will come. It’s My promise.

When you don’t think you can endure another night, My  joy comes. Don’t let go of your hope. Hold it tight. Your reward is promised if you faint not. Don’t quit—ever.

Don’t ever believe that the nighttime in your life is My lack of love for you or My failure to provide all I have promised.

Don’t wait for morning’s light, but laugh now. Let joy begin. If anything else is trying to come in, and it’s not My peace—My promises to you—refuse it to enter. Declare that only joy can come. Welcome laughter. Let peace fill your mind, and it will be demonstrated in every other area of your life.

It may look like night, but morning will be soon. Rejoice!
