Two Judgments

Pastor Gray examines the topic of judgment and looks at Hebrews 9:27, “it is appointed unto men once to die.”

The unbeliever (spiritually dead) will face the great white throne of God’s judgment. The authentic believer will stand before the judgment (bema) seat of Christ.

In ancient times, the bema seat was a raised platform where judges evaluated contestants of athletic games and distributed rewards. This is what Christ does for us when we stand before His judgment seat. It is not about determining our salvation, but examining how we’ve used our God-given gifts and rewarding us accordingly.

Living in the Day of Judgment

Pastor Gray exclaims we are living in the day of judgment. He examines Matthew 24:37, “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

God gave the people of Noah’s day 120 years to repent and turn to Him, but they would not. Judgment came upon them the moment God shut the door of the ark.

The world is facing that same judgment as Christ’s return approaches. Repent and turn to Him. When He returns with ten thousands of His saints, He will close the door to repentance.
